President Muhammadu Buhari, just minutes ago, received briefings from members of the Presidential Committee on the review of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy.

The President disclosed this on his Tweeter handle, @MBuhari at about 1:51pm on Thursday, April 2, 2020. The President disclosed those who were in the meeting to include the Minister of Financial, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed; the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva; the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria , Mr Godwin Emefiele; and the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation , Mr Mele Kyari.

“As a government we are very mindful of the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak, on the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians, and on the national economy. In that regard, I just received a briefing from the Minister of Finance, Minister of State for Petroleum, CBN Governor and GMD, NNPC,” the President tweeted.
