Odetoyinbo, who superintended the dedication ceremony of Christ The King Catholic Church, Agbara, Ogun State said the government cannot sweep the demand of the youth under the carpet because the agitation is still on.
“If a child at home is making a request from the father, a genuine father would not respond by being violent and killing the child. He would either make provision for the need of the child or, if he is not in a position to meet the child’s need at that time, he makes him understand that one day, he would be obliged with his need,” he said.
He charged the government to do everything within its power to arrest the youth’s restiveness and make them happy. He premised the significance of the church dedication on the spiritual need of the members of the diocese and the community, adding that in the midst of various challenges confronting the nation, people still love God.
