The Federal Road Safety Corps , Gombe State Command, said 76 persons died in 300 road crashes in the state from January to August, this year.
The Sector Commander noted that within the period under review, 1,333 persons were involved in various accidents, 798 others sustained various degrees of injuries, while 459 were unhurt. He added that from January to August 2020, 46 persons were killed in 191 crashes, stressing that 545 others sustained various degrees of injuries, while 438 were unhurt.
He noted that ember months usually record a high volume of traffic following heavy movements of people, preparatory to the Yuletide.
