Umueri community in Anambra-East local government area of Anambra State has denied stockpiling arms in readiness for war.
In a press release signed by the monarch of the community, Igwe Ben Izuchukwu Emeka and made available to DAILY POST, he said the accusations were malicious and intended to tarnish the image of the community. “There is no war in Umueri and the President-General and traditional ruler are working harmoniously well to ensure a tranquil atmosphere of love and unity for all and sundry to thrive,” he said.
