The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, on Friday, at the last minute, allegedly cancelled an appointment he gave to a Yoruba group, Ooni’s Caucus, on the alleged complaint that members of the group are “notorious critics” of the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari .
A former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, is also said to be a member of Ooni’s Caucus, but he was not on the delegation to Alaafin’s palace on Friday. The source explained that the main purpose of the meeting was for the newly-inaugurated group to get Alaafin’s blessings and to possibly discuss the issue of the embattled Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, alias Sunday Igboho, who is currently being held and tried in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Gbenga Daniel was among them..and you want alafin to speak to them lolsssss 😂
Liars... just trying to divide the Yorubas
They should have gone with fair lady of 24yrs old, infact they would see him before the appointed time.
This Sunday Igboho saga will expose many Obas as being self serving and never had the interest of their subjects ,and this will spell doom for them.OoniAdimulaIfe still remain the best among them and the most dynamic and most popular .
When no be underage dem say make him kon marry
If it's to marry ripe young ladies left, right and centre he will be at the forefront.
Pre-historic rivalries!!!
Did they need his blessings anyway? OoniAdimulaIfe already did the right thing by inaugurating the committee at 'Ile O'odua'. It was this kind of haughty attitude that made Ooni Sijuwade check Alaafin's influence in Yoruba land while he reigned.
Coming election campaigns money is pivot and reasons for any Yoruba leaders to defy the people wish!
