Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has requested for the support of a two-thirds majority of Kwara state House Assembly for the removal of Mr. Adeyeye Samuel, from Office of Auditor-General of the State.

Although no reason was stated in the letter, the state House of Assembly had in December recommended that the governor should investigate Adeyeye for alleged clearing of 54 Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government without the knowledge of the Public Accounts Committee of the Legislature. He noted that the Auditor-General claimed that he had not been able to cash-back the allocation due to his office but later confirmed that he had accessed 30 per cent of the allocation as of June 2021.
