90 ships seized by EFCC rot away in Lagos, others

Some of the ships seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have begun to sink in waters across the country, while many of those temporarily and permanently forfeited by suspected corrupt persons are being damaged due to lack of maintenance,Sources in the know of the development at the House of Representatives told our correspondent that the Nigerian Navy, which was mandated to oversee the seized, recovered or forfeited assets, had no budgetary provision to maintain them, leaving...

Some members of the committee, who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity as the investigation was still ongoing, expressed their displeasure at what they found out during the tour. “In fact, most of the ones in the Lagos waters have badly depreciated…they are like just holding the shell when the snail is dead. That is what has happened to most of the vessels. About 10 per cent have been submerged, while the other ones are just in a terrible state that they cannot attract much value again.”

They are waiting for Malami to auction them. I do not see any of the ships belonging to their Northern brothers.

Why not sell them to prospective buyers to boost the dwindling finance 🤔 of the government? Value of Ships just like cars, are subject to depreciation. The longer they stay unused, the lesser their values.

Why seizing ships EFCC? Igbos were given £20 after Biafra war but today Biafrans are the richest in Nigeria.A shock!!! Forget Dangote he is laundering looted funds for fulani people.EFCC is jealous of Biafra progress, that is secret mission n command by fulani caliphate to EFCC.

Nigeria and wasteful thinking . Why can’t they sell these vessels since they have been forfeited!!! And use the proceeds to fund other development rather than running to China to borrow all the time !!!

And if they can publish the names of the owners, you will find out the calculated attempt to destroy the economy of people from the South, you won't find a single hausa/Fulani owner among the seized ships. We will overcome.

What exactly is the jurisdiction of EFCC, ICPC, POLICE, ARMY, DSS, CUSTOM, IMMIGRATION in Nigeria? Or are all of them just working anywhere any time? Because EFCC seizing ships/containers is beyond my understanding.

You seized them to rot? Wow. Clap for yourselves.

The efcc and amcon have become major killers of business in nigeria Many thriving business in the south have been closed by efcc and amcon out of wickedness throwing people out of jobs and depriving the economy of contributions from such companies slavery is a bad thing

Naso Nigeria de take rot for this government hand... Nonsense!!!

Make dis country unlivable for her citizens, one day dey will turn on you nd yur bosses and feeds on you and your wealth like zombies…

Wow! What a waste...

Issokay

Mumu bawa
