A total of 741 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in Enugu State, the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ikechukwu Obi, said on Sunday.

Obi, who disclosed this in a statement made available to The PUNCH, confirmed that the state recorded new 15 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, which brought the total number to 741.

He stated, “New laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases on July 25, 2020, were 15. The total laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases are 741; number of COVID-19 cases on treatment is 299, while the number of COVID-19 cases discharged is now 425.The commissioner, however, warned member of the public that “COVID-19 is real and they should be responsible.”All rights reserved.
