Oba Ogunwusi stated this at the late Ooni’s 40th memorial organised by the deceased’s children at the monarch’s palace in Ile Ife, Osun State.
The royal father had earlier led members of the Aderemi family to lay a wreath on the tomb of the deceased and inspected the White House built by Sir Aderemi, while on the throne in 1937, which the current Ooni had remodelled. Also, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari , on Friday, paid glowing tribute to the late Ooni.
Aderemi, a political figure, was the Ooni of Ife between 1930 and July 3, 1980 when he died at the age of 90.The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in a statement, said Buhari eulogised the late traditional ruler in a letter addressed to the deceased’s family.All rights reserved.
