A 400-level student, Binta Isa of the Faculty of Education, Bayero University, Kano State, was found dead in her hostel on Friday, November 26.
In a statement by the University Director, Health Services, Dr Gezawa, the late student had previously visited the New Campus Clinic, precisely on Wednesday, complaining of chest pain and was administered drugs. Part of the statement read, “On Friday, 26th November, 2021 in the evening around the period of Magrib prayer, her symptoms relapsed and she complained of chest pain to her roommates, but she managed to perform ablution and prayed the Maghrib prayer in the room.”
They immediately raised an alarm and Binta was rushed to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital where she was confirmed dead by the doctors.
