According to a statement on Thursday, the Morohundiya family extolled their late patriarch, saying he was passionate about the law and legal practice.
“Chief Olasupo Morohundiya was passionate about all things to do with law and legal practice. One of his legacies, the Olasupo Morohundiya Foundation for Legal Education Development which he bequeathed in his last will and testament dated 1st day of June 1989, to be commissioned as a non-profit organisation established to advance the cause of legal development in Nigeria.
“In addition, he directed in Paragraph 21 — ‘A sum of N100,000.00 net to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State as Endowment Fund. The annual interest accruable from it to be used for prizes for the Best Final Year Law Student or Students as my contribution or prizes as the University authorities may decide and recommend to my Executrices and Trustees.’
