Clash over a chieftaincy title has resulted in the assassination of the Alagodo of Agodo in Ogun, Oba Ayinde Odetola, and the burning to death of others. The assailants are yet to be identified.

General Abdulsalami Abubakar gave an interview in which he said acclaimed wineer of 1993 presidential elections, MKO Abiola, was not killed - but died after taking ill, contrary to popular reports that he died after drinking poisoned tea.
That has not gone down well with the Abiola family, who have come out swinging about how their father and husband was denied medical care.
