Kogi State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ((NUJ) has commended the state government over the ongoing projects across Lokoja metropolis and environs.

The journalists gave the commendation during the maiden 2022 congress of Kogi NUJ held in Lokoja, at the weekend.

Describing the ongoing construction of Ganaja Bridge and Lokoja Civic Centre as legacy projects of the Governor Yahaya Bello-led administration that will benefit residents, they appealed to the governor to address the bad state of Zango-Daji road, expressing fears that residents might be cut off from Lokoja metropolis, if left unattended to.

They urged the state government to revive the state-owned FM 94.1 radio station, which went off air for about five months, appealing that government’s approval for the station be expeditiously followed with action.

Members of NUJ passed confidence vote on the chairman, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh, for transparent leadership.

In his address, Momohjimoh expressed appreciation to the governor for providing journalists the conducive atmosphere to operate.
