Gov Ortom pays condolence visit to FCT Senator, Aduda over father’s death

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to Senator Philip Aduda at his family house in Karu, Abuja over the death of his father, Rev. Tanimu Aduda.

Senator Aduda represents the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, at the National Assembly.

The Governor, while consoling the Aduda family over the demise of their father, described the deceased as a man who introduced many to God which translates to peace in the society.

He stated that at a time Nigeria was highly divided along religious and ethnic lines, the rich counsel of the deceased was needed to put it back on track, stressing that his impact would be greatly missed.

The Governor urged the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that the deceased left indelible marks on the sands of history including a distinguished Senator who is contributing immensely to the development of the country.

Governor Ortom said life and death belong to God and nobody questions when He gives or takes, even as he prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.

The Governor on behalf of government and people of Benue State, presented a condolence letter to Senator Aduda and pledged continued prayers for the family.

Senator Philip Aduda acknowledged Governor Ortom’s passion for the unity and progress of Nigeria, saying he is proud of the Governor for always speaking truth to power for corrections to be made.

Senator Aduda said he was most grateful for the honour to have the Governor visited to condole with the family, adding that he was elated with the outpouring of love for the family by Nigerians.
