School unveils wellness centre for better living

The Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management has unveiled a wellness centre as part of efforts to promote good health among Nigerians.

While inaugurating the facility, the Proprietor’s wife, Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management, Pastor Folu Adeboye, commended the management of RECTEM for its innovation.

On her part, the Rector of the institution, Dr Stella Mofunanya, stressed the need for Nigerians to eat right to keep away diseases.

Mofunanya said, “We should be the first institution having a wellness centre.  We are telling people that food should be their medicine.  We are telling Nigerians that they should eat right.

“If you look at the situation all over the world, cancer is on the rampage in some homes, nations and we can only curb this if we can eat right.  If we can go back to what our fathers and great grandfathers ate, we would be as strong as they were without indulging in all the junk we are eating today.”

According to her, the centre would work with a consultant, adding that it was equipped with machines that could treat prostate and breast cancers if detected early.
