2023: We need Igbo presidency, disarming of killer herdsmen – MASSOB, youths tell governors

The demand was made before Southeast governors and other political and religious leaders from the zone as they continue seeking ways to placate the youths. The protest was at some point hijacked by hoodlums, leading to looting and destruction of public and private properties.

In a communiqué read to the Igbo leaders, the MASSOB and other Igbo youths demanded Igbo presidency as well as all forms of attack from armed herdsmen. “Disarming of killer herdsmen with AK 47 in the South East, who have occupied our forest and farmlands, destroying, kidnapping, and killing our women while we pledge to live and work peacefully with our brothers and sisters and herdsmen, who have been living peacefully with us.

“South East should set up monitoring committee in each state made up of youths, igbo leaders, traditional rulers, clergymen and Governors representatives and women to monitor compensation and empowerment fund in the South to be set up by Governors and the FG.

Who gives a damn about what tribe rules?it doesn't really matter what we need is a competent president not some half assed idiot playing the tribal card to get into power.corruption and uselessness doesn't have a tribe

Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state is just a spy for the federal government among the south East governors forum

There should be no igbo presidency to anything /body associated with Ohaneze. their utterances portray a totally insensitive bunch of elders

The most confused and ignorant people wasting time again to discuss nothing tangible.

Igbo presidency We just fear the issue of Biafra,if not this people may help us with so much means of making money😁

You are still far .

Today MASSOB tomorrow IPOB.

Igbo's are the problem of themselves. If they get the opportunity to run for presidency in 2023 like 300 politicians from south East will via for the post , instead of having one consensus candidate that will help drive their chances

Are we really in democrat era? Why always, almost some tribe need to produce the president? Democracy is about enter party & contesting in respect of religions, ethics or region. It's all about numbers of vote. You can fold your hand & you expect to get presidency just like that

Presidency not the solution.

No... We need Yoruba 😒😒
