Dino Melaye, a former Senator has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to sign the Electoral Bill was due to fear of electronic transmission of results.
The President had said signing the bill into law would cause trouble among the political parties in the country. He had also cited insecurity as one of the reasons for withholding his assent. But Dino Melaye in a post on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday said the move was part of plots to rig the 2023 election by stopping electronic transmission which was also contained in the bill.
