Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has reaffirmed his intentions to run for Nigerian Presidency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
He made this known in a post via his verified Facebook page on Friday, in response to a statement by fast-rising Nigerian Disk Jockey, DJ Big N. The DJ had written, “What is going on? 14 months to yet another election and the youths still haven’t come forward with a representative. If the older politicians are proactive and already have candidates, then we need not complain with what we end up with. Wake up Nigeria. Wake up.”
In response, Edochie said, “My dear brother @djbign I saw your post this morning about the youths not presenting a candidate yet.
Let's give him 30 million votes at least it will be a good start to the real freedom for us. After 4 years if we see any fuck up we give another 30 million votes trust me the person will do better. Before we know it we will be free in 12 years or be enslave forever.
It will be good to start as a commissioner or local government chairman. Running for the top post without the ‘resources’/platform needed to get there is a waste of time. Chief Dele Momodu, Fela Durotoye , Sowore and Moghalu are richer and famous, yet they haven’t n couldn’t win.
