A 22-year-old woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly kicking a pregnant woman in the abdomen during a fight in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

A woman was arrested Tuesday after Harrisburg police say she kicked a woman who was eight months pregnant in the belly. Ijala Reynolds, 22, was charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child after the Tuesday evening fight in the Hall Manor housing complex, according to court documents filed by Harrisburg police.Reynolds was in a large group still fighting in row 42 as officers arrived around 5 p.m.

Police said they saw Reynolds “highly agitated” and screaming expletives, court documents said.Ignoring officers who told her to stop, Reynolds approached and started yelling at a pregnant woman who’d just come out of an apartment in row 41. Reynolds ran up to the woman and started assaulting her, court documents said. Police said they tackled Reynolds to the ground and arrested her. She kicked the pregnant woman in the belly as officers were getting her back on her feet, the affidavit said. It’s unclear if the pregnant woman or her baby sustained injuries.Police asked for a judge to order high bail because of ongoing fights and threats they say Reynolds made in recent days. Police did not say what dispute or issues preceded the fight
