Marvel's line of Star Wars comics are returning to Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker with its long-awaited adaptation of the space opera's ninth chapter, which will include additional scenes that didn't make it into the movie. Originally scheduled to debut in May 2020, the five-issue Rise of Skywalker series has finally arrived, and it promises to be"no ordinary retelling" of the film.
The long wait for the 'paper and ink' version of the story will finally end with the series debut in February 2025. As GamesRadar explained, the delay was yet another inconvenience caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic. In this particular case, it led to supply chain and scheduling issues that led to a protracted pause on production of the adaptation.
More than a few fans have long-hoped that the added content in the Marvel Comics Rise of Skywalker miniseries will address some of the fandom's issues with the film, while also deepening and enriching the narrative.
