Spurs Give and the Austin Parks Foundation joined the Austin Parks and Recreation Department to unveil a newly-renovated basketball court at Walnut Creek Metro
Park Sunday morning.
This became the third Spurs-branded court completed as part of “Play ATX,” a program dedicated to renovating parks and basketball courts throughout the city of Austin. In April 2023, Spurs Give and the Austin Parks Foundation donated nearly $500,000 to launch their “Play ATX" program. The program is an expansion of “Play SA,” which launched in San Antonio in 2020 to help parks in need of renovations.
At the Sunday event, a ribbon cutting ceremony with brief remarks was held, and there was a Music & Movement class hosted by Creative Action afterwards.
