The NMPA's SONGS Foundation has set its new board of directors, welcoming eight new songwriters to a group that includes Jewel and publishing execs.
The SONGS Foundation was founded by the publishing trade organization in 2015 as a way to support aspiring songwriters, offering scholarships and direct financial assistance to help kickstart their careers in addition to other partnerships. With the new board, the foundation announces that it will be centering its focus in the coming year on helping songwriters with mental health, wellness and financial advisory services.
