It was a packed house on Sunday for the Bay Area's new professional women's soccer team, Bay FC's, season opener.Along with a win in its first match Sunday, it seems Bay FC is being welcomed with open arms.Fans gathered and cheered, showing that this game meant much more than just a win or a loss.Bay FC kicked off its first season on the road in Los Angeles.
"I'm excited to see them play for the first time. I think it's been great. I'm getting updates from friends and family about who's being drafted, how the team is getting composed, and it'll be great to see it all come together," said John Gillepsie from San Francisco.And come together it did - just 16 minutes in with a historic first goal."I think, wow, I can't wait to be there one day.
