Jerry Seinfeld made a surprise cameo on the Saturday, May 4, episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ to offer advice to Ryan Gosling
Jerry Seinfeld and Ryan Gosling have something in common: They’ve both recently been on lengthy press tours.
“Guys, oftentimes when an actor is promoting a new movie — let’s say a Netflix movie — they have to do a lot of press,” Colin Jost began in the middle of his “Weekend Update” segment on Saturday. “Sometimes, too much press. Here to comment is a man who’s done too much press.”“Was this a podcast?” the comedian asked Jost, 41. “Oh, live TV? Oh, my God. I gotta stop.”“I wasn’t on Rich Eisen,” Seinfeld quipped before realizing that he did appear on the sports broadcast after all.
He continued, “I’m talking to you, Ryan Gosling. When I started doing press for Unfrosted, I was like you: Funny, good-looking now look at me? You think this is how I want to spend my 26th birthday? But you can get clean.”
