Summary Rotten Tomatoes has launched a brand new badge that will reflect audience favorites. The review aggregator website was created in 1998 and has since risen to become one of the premiere methods of measuring movie and television reviews.
Now, Rotten Tomatoes has announced that they are launching a similar program with their audience score system. The new badge will be called Verified Hot, utilizing the user score, which has now been rebranded the Popcornmeter. In addition to other requirements, the movie will have to earn a Popcornmeter score over 90% in order to be verified.
