Who actually wants to do that much training?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Jake Gyllenhaal is interested in returning for a Road House sequel. Inspired by the original 1989 movie, Gyllenhaal brought Dalton back as a UFC fighter who becomes a local bouncer. He stars alongside Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, and an actual UFC Champion in Conor McGregor. The movie was released on Prime Video on March 21.
Road House's initial reviews were mixed, but that doesn't mean that Gyllenhaal isn't still interested in doing more with the franchise. In an interview with Collider, Gyllenhaal revealed that he would love to return for a potential Road House 2. Dalton is a character that he adores, and he also admits that he enjoys the training that it takes to suit the character's physique.
I would love to . I love the role, I love the character. I love his humor. I love where he could go. The first thing I ever read in the script was the scene where he asked about insurance, if they have insurance, asked if their bikes are outside, and the essence of that character is there, and there's so much more to explore in that space. So, yeah... I do like the training, but that's just me.
