Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris took exception to the framing of questions about quarterback Justin Fields, and fired back at some of the hate that Fields was receiving after the Steelers’ loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. To Harris, placing too much on one person, in this case being Fields, is far too much. Instead, Harris took an angle of the team as a whole struggled and fought their way back into the game rather than placing those expectations on Fields.
"I think we as a team showed what we can do,” Harris said. “Not just one player. Y’all always keep putting it on one person. It’s a whole team, all 11 of us. Stop making it one player. Y’all keep saying Justin, as if he’s the one that’s throwing, catching and running. Come on bro, it’s all of us. So what did we do, what did we see? I saw us all fight. Us as a team.
Fields and the offense engineered three straight touchdown drives before failing on the final drive, when Fields and Zach Frazier had an errant snap in the shotgun. He accounted for over 350 total yards and a three touchdowns to help pull the team within three after being down 17-0 in the first half.that not everything can be pinned on him, even if the quarterback position is the most important one of the football field.
