Olmsted Falls city school district revoked 4-year-old’s Kindergarten entry
Four-year-old Matt Perez was extremely excited to attend the Olmsted Falls City School District during the 2024-2025 school year as a Kindergartner.Despite him having numerous academic achievements for his age, the Olmsted Falls City School district gave the following statement when I asked why he was rejected from their Early Entry program…After being recommended to test her child for early entry into Kindergarten by her Daycare provider, Sara Perez figured it was worth a try.
Sara Perez then decided to send an appeal to the Board of Education, asking for them to reconsider their choice. Just one week ago, Sara Perez received an email from the school’s principal stating that they had made a mistake on their part, and that Matt had been unenrolled from the Kindergarten program for not passing the initial IQ exam.
