The Ohio Department of Transportation is urging people to stay home after a tornado touched down on Thursday night.'It's pure devastation' -- Storms pound Central Ohio

"This is not the time to be sightseeing. It really is not," ODOT Press Secretary Matt Bruning said. "So, just stay home stay off the roads. Let our crews do their jobs." ODOT is currently using snow plows to clear debris off the roads and Bruning warned about other dangers they are facing. "What I can tell you right now is there are a lot of trees and powerlines down mainly in western and northern Ohio," he said.

Even though the storms have passed, ODOT is urging people to be cautious on the road and leave plenty of distance between cars if you need to head out.
