Eric Scheffler was an Atlantic City police officer before being elected Atlantic County sheriff.
Scheffler was elected sheriff in 2017 and re-elected three years later before the Democrat was voted out in November. Prior serving as sheriff, he worked as a police officer in Atlantic City for 23 years, retiring in as a lieutenant in 2015. His annual pension is $75,098.64, according to pension recods.
