A truck crashed into a Department of Public Safety office in Brenham on Friday morning, injuring multiple people.
Multiple people were seriously injured Friday afternoon when a truck crashed into the Department of Public Safety building in Brenham on Friday afternoon, according to the department. In an 11:15 a.m. post on X, DPS said officials were heading to the scene, and asked people to stay away from the area. Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak said it's believed the crash was 'a criminal act,' KHOU 's Cheryl Mercedes reported.
Hanak, in a text, wrote the DPS office included a drivers license office and highway patrol office, and then referred to DPS for more information, In a statement on Facebook, the Texas State Troopers Association said the crash 'may have been a deliberate attack.' Three people were flown from the scene by medical helicopters according to Bryan-College Station-area TV station KBTX. Other people were injured and transported by ambulance or at the scene. At 12:37 p.m.
