When it comes to Gen Z in the workplace, Jamie Lynch says 'we have lots to teach them, and lots to learn from them.'
For most people, there's a difference between their professional persona at work, and how they act around friends. But one millennial manager has shown that, when it comes to Generation Z, they're more than happy to blur the boundaries. After hiring her first Gen Z employee in early 2024, Jamie Lynch, 33, it didn't take long for her to see that they have a very different approach to the work-life balance.
Lynch has loved seeing the positive reaction to her social media videos, as many people can't stop watching the videos, or relate to what she deals with on a daily basis. Lynch told Newsweek that her clips 'struck a chord' with other managers who are often left dumbfounded by Gen Z.'The reactions have been great. I have had hundreds of messages from people in similar positions saying they deal with the same phone calls all the time,' Lynch continued.
