Midwest Games, a Wisconsin-based, regionally focused video game publisher launched earlier this year, has successfully secured $3 million in funding with a little help from a huge neighbor., an organization formed from a partnership between the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft.
Midwest Games aims to invest in team expansion, and both fund and support independent developers in the area, reflecting its desire to give back to the large number of Wisconsin-based supporters that provided investment. It will specifically look to finance “innovation in regions often overlooked by the mainstream gaming industry,” while “expanding opportunities for underrepresented talent and communities” within the creative sphere.
