Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 6200 block of Slauson Avenue, between Eastern and Garfield avenues, around 4:50 p.m. Thursday, May 16, regarding a shots-fired call, the Sheriff’s Department said.The suspect approached the victim on board the bus, shot him and then ran off of the bus, Spencer added.The suspect was captured near Peachtree Street and Eastern Avenue, a short distance from the shooting, Spencer said. A firearm was found.
