Unsettled weather continues to stick around through the weekend in North Texas.
The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center issued a Tornado Watch Wednesday until 10 p.m. for a large part of North Texas.
The NWS said severe storms were possible Wednesday that would be capable of very large hail and producing a tornado or two. The storms were expected to generate in the afternoon and evening from parts of Central into Northeast Texas. The North Texas counties impacted by the Tornado Watch are Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hood, Hopkins, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Lamar, Navarro, Rains, Rockwall, Somvervell, Tarrant and Van Zandt.Expect a hot and humid Wednesday and with the dryline nearby, there is a chance for a few afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, some severe.Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary concerns both today and Thursday.
The humidity is back in place today. This, combined with building heat, will contribute to thunderstorm chances late in the day. Some of these storms could be severe with a threat for hail and damaging winds.
