This week’s KPRC 2 & UTMB Health Athlete of the Week is TJ Bass, goalie with the Clear Lake High School soccer team. With his skills, his coach is not at all surprised by his success. “His freshman year, we went into a penalty kick shootout at the end of one of our games and we won because TJ made two out of the four shots he saw, he saved, and I remember thinking dang, ok,” said Jered Schiver, Head Coach of the Clear Lake soccer team.

“Honestly I love the challenge, I love that adrenaline feeling when you get a good save, there’s actually a save against Brazoswood I made and you can hear it on the video, everybody was like woah, and so that honestly just makes my day,” Bass said.
