Watch the video below: After an introduction by WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, the Peacemaker actor shared that he would compete one more at next year's Elimination Chamber, Royal Rumble, and Wrestlemania. The multi-time champion went on to note that, though he will continue to appear in WWE, he will not be an active competitor.

Cena's Retirement Plan, Explained The WWE Legend Will Still Be Around For Some Time Yet Close At a press conference held after the Money in the Bank event, Cena detailed his retirement plan. The recent guest star of The Bear season 3 shared at the presser that he plans for his retirement to run from January 2025, including when WWE Raw moves to Netflix, until December.

Once that it is over, Cena mentioned that he hopes to remain part of the WWE though he will not be an in-ring competitor. As for why he's chosen to step away from the ring, the actor was candid about how he feels that he can no longer compete at a high level. He said at the press conference, in part: “physically I feel I’m at my end.” He'd go on to say that, despite his wrestling retirement, audiences can expect him to remain with WWE for an extended period of time.
