Rep. Jamal Bowman hit out against 'dark money' after he was defeated by George Latimer, a pro-Israel centrist, in a Democratic primary in suburban New York on Tuesday.Latimer's victory has ousted one of the most outspoken critics of Israel in Congress.
He accused the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's political action committee of spending millions to 'brainwash people into believing something that isn't true.'The pro-Israel lobbying group spent nearly $15 million on negative ads in a bid to oust Bowman, The Associated Press reported.'We should not be well adjusted to a sick society,' Bowman said. 'We should be outraged.
