JON JOHNSON and DAVID MUNDEE Dothan Eagle Sports Writers Northside Methodist Academy ended Rehobeth’s 10-match win streak with a 25-22, 15-25, 25-17, 25-19 win over the Rebels in high school volleyball action Tuesday night.
For the Wildcats, Jadyn Britton had 11 kills and three blocks. Abigail Wiggins had six kills, eight assists and six aces. Morgan Williams had five kills and two blocks. Lauren Kinney compiled 19 assists. For Ashford in the win over Houston County, AB Morris had two aces, 22 assists and two digs. Ella Helms had three aces and 21 digs. Carsyn McArdle had two aces and five kills. Jalissiah Jackson had eight kills. Carly Dawsey had five kills. LB Ingalls had three aces, two assists and 10 digs. SB Cochran had two kills.
For Ariton, Nya Allen had 11 kills, Sarah Turvey five kills and two aces and Audrey Ezell had three kills and two solo blocks. Madison Guilford had three solo blocks, while Macileigh Bragg had two solo blocks. Avery Evans had three digs. New Brockton downs Pike County: New Brockton defeated Pike County 25-14, 19-25, 25-23, 25-13 in a Class 4A, Area 4 contest.
Tuesday’s contest – a Class 1A, Area 3 game – was the first that counted the eligibility for postseason play.Allyx Williamson had five kills and Lilli Sumblin had four aces.
