Fri, May 17th 2024 at 3:43 PMHangout Fest is underway right now on the beaches of Gulf Shores .The city of Gulf Shores says if there is lightning , thousands of festival-goers will be evacuated.They have onsite meteorologists watching the skies, and a way to communicate with festival-goers if severe weather does arrive.They ran to see their favorite acts after getting through security."Sexyy Red!" one festival-goer said.

"Today, the weather is cooperating. We had a big blow last night, didn't do any damage on site so it's ready to go. Looking forward to a good few days," he says. If lightning occurs, Brown says festival-goers will be evacuated, but allowed to come back once the weather passes.
