Per The Hollywood Reporter, the first new cast member is about to join the returning stars of Freaky Friday 2. The 15-year-old actor Julia Butters is reportedly in talks to board the movie, though the character she would be playing has not yet been specified. It seems likely that Butters will be playing one of two teenage girls with whom lead characters Tess and Anna Coleman are reported to be swapping bodies in the new movie, namely Anna's daughter and future stepdaughter.
