The first image of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt from the upcoming fourth season of Netflix's The Witcher is revealed.
has shared a new video from the forthcoming season that sees Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt of Rivia from“His look has been in development for over a year, so it’s thrilling to finally share an official sneak peek of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia,” The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich told.
Cavill played Geralt for the first three seasons of Netflix’s The Witcher, which is based on the popular video game series of the same name. He announced he was departing the show in 2022 and is now working on a Warhammer 40,000 project for Amazon. Cavill previously said of the decision and Hemsworth’s casting, “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures. In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him.
The Witcher Season 4 also stars Freya Allan as Princess Cirilla, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Laurence Fishburne as Regis, Sharlto Copley as Leo Bonhart, James Purefoy as Skellen, and Danny Woodburn as Zoltan. A release date has not yet been set for The Witcher Season 4.
