State Rep. Anna Moeller’s annual Winter Clothing Drive and Holiday Toy Drive is underway. Moeller, D-Elgin, is partnering with Aunt Martha’s Carpentersville Community Health Center to collect gifts for foster care children. She’s seeking new unwrapped toys for ages one month to 11 and gift cards for ages 12 to 17. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 1. She’s also seeking new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, gloves and boots for adults and children between the ages of infant and 11.

Staff from Advocate Sherman Hospital’s Diabetes & Nutrition Care Center will provide information and talk about the skills necessary to successfully manage the health condition, a news release said. An initiative to curtail impaired driving on Wednesday, Nov. 22. the night before Thanksgiving, is being held by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office and Kane County police agencies.
