North Carolina Central University says one person was shot at a dormitory on campus
One person was hospitalized after reports of a shooting at a residence hall at North Carolina Central University, police said.
Officers closed two blocks of Lawson Street for approximately two hours while investigating, according to the Durham Police Department. North Carolina Central University and the Durham Police Department did not immediately respond to The Associated Press' request for comment.
