The race for Alabama's newly-redrawn 2nd congressional district is headed for a runoff.MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The race for Alabama’s newly-redrawn 2nd Congressional District is headed for a runoff.due to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that gives Democrats a better chance to flip the seat.votesOn April 16, voters in the newly-redrawn district will vote for either attorney Caroleene Dobson, or former state Sen. Dick Brewbaker.
“We came in ahead of our own projections and carried seven of 13 counties, and actually got 1,000 more votes than we expected, so it’s hard not to feel good about that,” said Brewbaker. “I’m running to fight for Alabama families. I’m from the district, proud to have grown up here,” Dobson said.
