Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive clip from the raunchy comedy film The Honeymoon, which arrives on digital and On Demand this week. Starring comedy scene breakout star Maria Bakalova and seasoned comedian Asim Chaudhry, the new Lionsgate release follows newlyweds Sarah and Adam who are forced through a series of unfortunate events to bring Adam's best friend Bav along for their honeymoon.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The Honeymoon is written and directed by Dean Craig, who is best known for Death at a Funeral and recently helmed the Anna Farris and Toni Colette comedy The Estate. His newest effort looks to be in a similar vein, putting talented actors in sticky situations and letting them run wild in terms of both language and fun gross-out moments.
The Honeymoon is sure to make full use of the cast's comedic chops, of which they've got plenty to spare. Bakalova recently shot to fame and was even nominated for an Academy Award thanks to her work in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, and she expanded her range even further with this year's horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies.
Lionsgate has had a very fruitful year prior to the release of The Honeymoon. Other exciting projects include Roland Emmerich's apocalyptic sci-f film Moonfall, and the tongue-in-cheek Nicolas Cage adventure comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which they co-produced. They also distributed Kevin Smith's long-awaited Clerks III, which recently became available to own.
