An apartment building fire in Cumberland County forced out 120 residents on Easter Sunday in Cumberland County.Dispatchers told WGAL the call came in at 5:43 p.m. for a fire at the Northside Village apartments at 5 Northside Lane in Carlisle.Carlisle Borough Fire Chief Randy O'Donnell said they faced some challenges immediately.
So, the folks that were on the scene initially did a lot of work with low number of people,' he said.O'Donnel said no people or pets were injured, but 120 people are still displaced.'For right now, the apartment building is not going to be inhabitable for tonight. And we'll take another look at it tomorrow,' O'Donnell said. 'But there are still significant smoke and water damage dropped below.
