Trump has sought for a federal appeals court to intervene in his hush money conviction in New York City.
New York City prosecutors are asking the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals to deny former President Donald Trump's motion for the federal appellate court to order a stay on his hush money conviction.
''Trump's lawyers have repeatedly sought to delay the former president's sentencing date as the former president's reelection campaign heats up. In a filing to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals last week, Trump attorney Emil Bove argued that 'irreparable harm' would come if the sentencing took place before election day on November 5.
