Sen. Jesse Bjorkman, R-Nikiski, speaks in support of the Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives. The board was retained on a 58-1 vote with Sen. Bert Stedman, R-Sitka, as the only no vote in Juneau on Tuesday

Sen. Bill Wielechowski, D-Anchorage, said that the Board of Game uses a rigorous approval process for exotic game that is transparent and heavily scrutinized.
