Several sources across the web made the news public Monday morning. ESPN said that an undisclosed source confirmed that Sprinkle had accepted the position with the Huskies. The Washington native was named head coach of the Aggies in April of 2023. Since then, Sprinkle has led Utah State to several victories, including the Mountain West Conference regular-season championship title.
According to ESPN, Sprinkle also rallied the Aggies to their first NCAA tournament win in 23 years after beating TCU 88-72 on Friday. When Sprinkle started at Utah State, he brought Great Osboro and Darius Brown with him from his previous coaching job at Montana State. He did not return a single player who scored a point for the Aggies the previous season.Sprinkle coached the Aggies for the last time on Sunday, when Utah State's season ended following a 106-67 loss to top-seeded Purdue.
